You’ll be joining our IT Service Desk Team and you’ll be the one our employees speak to when they are experiencing technical problems. You’ll listen to them, troubleshoot and provide a resolution that will instantly relieve any worries they had, and allow them too, to continue providing great service to our customers or clients!

Please note, this is a 6 month FTC with the potential to be extended. If successful you will be required to work full-time; 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, 4 days on, 4 days off which may include weekends.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing IT incidents, requests, change and problems that occur within the organisation.
  • Answering calls made to the Service Desk and raise corresponding tickets.
  • Managing ticket queues and resolve tickets within the required timeframe.
  • Completing client software deployments into Test environments
  • Completing operational tasks such as media management, monthly service reports and scheduling process checks.

Requirements

Essential

  • 5 GCSE’s of C or greater, including English and Mathematics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in handling contact with end-users, staff, customers and suppliers
  • 1 year working within Information Technology and supporting end users
  • 1st line Microsoft Desktop software knowledge (i.e. Windows 7/10, Office)
  • 1st line Microsoft Server knowledge (i.e. Server 2008/2012)
  • 1st line Microsoft Server Application knowledge (i.e. Exchange, Active Directory)
  • Working experience of ITLL processes and procedures
  • Experience working within a professional and busy IT Service Desk


Desirable

  • Degree or Technical qualification
  • iSeries Knowledge
  • Any IT Technical accreditation E.g. MCSE, CCNA etc
  • Previous shift experience

This is a full-time shift vacancy based in our Cardiff office.

Salary: 20,000 - 22,000 per annum, dependent on experience plus 30% shift allowance.
