What you can expect..
As a Collections New Start Trainer, you are responsible for the facilitation of our Collections new start journey. You’re accountable for developing our new starters capability to ensure they are focusing on getting it right first time and always aiming to support our Customers compliantly with their financial difficulty.
You have a thorough understanding of the Arrears journey from a compliance, client and customer perspective. You also have an awareness of our clients, products and processes and are able to share your knowledge with the team in a clear and confident manner. You support our new starters by facilitating effective and engaging learning experiences.
My Accountabilities - what will I be doing?
People
- Lead the facilitation of our Collections New Start Journeys ensuring that our new colleagues develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress
- Leading, motivating amp; developing our new starters to achieve their best and become a permanent member of our family
- Developing our new starters competency levels so that they meet the standards set out in the competency frameworks to progress to their operational teams
- Demonstrate a commitment to your own personal development and continually keep abreast of regulatory, product, system and process changes in order to provide high quality learning experiences
Customer
- Proactively make recommendations on how we can enhance our new start / My Academy journey
- Provide direction, coaching and mentoring to new starters to enhance levels of competency
- Consistently perform to a high standard on all agreed key performance indicators; identifying opportunities to support the growth of the delivery team’s expertise and enhance the Lamp;D brand.
Financial
- Support the planning, delivery and measurement of New Start learning activity across the business
- Monitor and analysis the effectiveness of the New Start Journeys; making recommendations for continuous improvement
- Proactively identify any potential performance risks and supporting the implementation of performance management when necessary
Process
- Track, monitor and ensure that all new starters to Target have completed all elements of the new start journey and have successfully completed all competency assessment activity
- Working within our standard practices amp; procedures

- Passionate
You’re someone who has
- 12 months experience of training delivery; ideally with new starters
- Knowledge of both residential (secured) and consumer products
- Specialist knowledge of Arrears processes and regulatory requirement under CCA amp; MCOB
- Financial Service experience
OR - 12 months Financial Servicing experience in an Arrears environment
OR - Arrears experience within utilities or telecoms
