Workable makes software to help companies find and hire great people. We get recruiting and its role in building healthy workplaces which is why we’re proud that more than 20,000 teams worldwide use Workable to do precisely that.
And while we take recruiting seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. At Workable, you’ll find smart people who have fun, learn and innovate, and help others do the same. We brainstorm, laugh, and, occasionally, party (there’s a lot to celebrate), but we also appreciate people’s need for quiet time and focused work. We respect everyone, we hire the best, and make sure every experience is unique.
We’re growing fast, so we’re looking for a UX Writer to join the Product Design team!
What is a UX Writer?
An essential part of every product design team, UX Writers help shape product experiences by writing copy that helps users complete the task at hand.
You will:
A typical workday
You start your day by checking your email, where you find some messages from a product designer, asking for your input on the latest feature they’re working on. You make changes directly on the designs, asking the designer a question or two on Slack to better understand the user flow.
Before noon, you have a kickoff meeting with the PM, Designer and UX Researcher responsible for the user onboarding process. You go through the research findings together, identifying some easy wins that can improve our KPIs, and set to write copy to enhance the trial user experience.
After that, you have some uninterrupted time, so you work on our copywriting guidelines, adding a new term in our Design System glossary and tweaking the copy for a couple more. You also connect with the engineering team about changing a particular error message, since the Customer Support team has notified you that it creates confusion to some users.
Requirements
Please note that this is a remote, UK-based, part time (20 hours p/w) role.

Our employees enjoy benefits that make them more productive and contribute directly to the development of their professional skills. We want to be able to attract the best of the best and make sure they keep getting better. On top of an exciting, vibrant and intellectually challenging workplace, we are offering:
