Job Description

Made Media designs and produces creative digital solutions for world-leading brands in the arts, culture, and entertainment space. We enable our clients to connect with the world; sharing their ideas, events, and passions with as many people as possible.

As Lead Strategist/Head of Strategy you’ll work with our clients around the world, and our global team, on a range of digital projects and products. Whether we're working on a new product, website project, mobile app, or campaign, you will uncover our clients' underlying business needs and propose solutions for them. The job will require you to contribute towards multiple client engagements each with their own deliverables and timeframes.

You’ll often be one of the first people that new clients talk to when they consider working with us, and one of the first people that existing clients talk to when considering new projects. You’ll be a public face of Made Media, taking the lead on our own content strategy, and contributing to sector events and conferences.

You will develop an encyclopaedic knowledge of Made Media’s services and products, as well as complementary third party solutions, and work to match client requirements to solutions using creativity, strategy, and technical nous.

Practically, this will mean you will:

  • Write proposals and pitches for new business.
  • Assess the feasibility of new work, working with designers and developers to pin down creative and technical approaches for our clients’ problems, and articulating these in written and oral form.
  • Respond to clients’ digital strategies, ideas, and requests, by presenting rationalised and considered creative and strategic ideas that meet their objectives as well as ours. Take part and lead, as appropriate, client calls to discuss new projects.
  • Contribute to the management of on-going projects by supporting designers and developers to deliver the agreed-on spec, working with clients through business/organisational change, and assessing work/design quality.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops focused on digital transformation, digital marketing, and technology planning.
  • Work with Digital Producers, Head of Design, technical leads, and others as appropriate, to plan and deliver discovery for new projects.
  • Represent Made at events and conferences (taking the lead on some events and conferences, as agreed), as well as contributing to our content strategy via our blog, social and other channels.
  • Contribute to Made Media’s product and services strategy, through market and product strategy, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Contribute to Made Media business strategy and objectives.

Practicalities
  • This role will be remote, but you must be based somewhere in the United Kingdom*. You must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom, without sponsorship.
  • This role will require travel (estimated on average ~4-5 days per month) throughout the UK, and occasionally internationally. Your most common UK destinations will be London and Birmingham.

* We are also happy to consider applications from people based in the United States, with authorisation to work in the United States without sponsorship. In this case, you would be employed by our US subsidiary, Made Media Inc. however the application process is the same. Please contact us for details of salary information and benefits.

  • At least five years’ experience working in roles involving digital product strategy.

  • Experience of workshop facilitation as part of the digital strategy development process.
  • Experience working with a range of digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Mailchimp.
  • An ability to work with and guide a multi-skilled and specialised team, including designers, developers, digital producers, and digital analysts.
