Job Description

Selecta is the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, leading the way in vending solutions and specialist coffee services. We are hiring a Tax Analyst to join our team and support the Head of Financial Control in the production of management information, tax management and financial reporting. Also taking ownership of all areas within taxation, such as VAT, Corporation Tax, Intrastat, for UK amp; ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Selecta UK, Selecta UK Holdings amp; Selecta Ireland VAT return process. Includes M3 MTD operations amp; maintenance, VAT journals, fuel scale, bad debt, manual entries, duty deferment.
  • Keep up to date on latest changes in VAT treatment for UK amp; ROI with support from tax consultants.
  • Intrastat, VIES amp; EC Sales: Review declarations prepared by Treasury Dept.
  • Preparation of annual Cognos submissions for corporation amp; deferred tax, analysis of tax accounts and balances, complete tax workings for annual computation and support for external advisors.
  • All correspondence with Companies House and related declarations.
  • Responsible for management of fixed assets, additions amp; disposals, M3 asset module maintenance, depreciation calculations and audit of fixed assets.
  • Manage the updating of the Group IFRS16 portal with relevant and accurate information.
  • Assisting the Financial Control team with monthly management amp; statutory reporting.
  • Supporting the senior finance members with ad-hoc project work and requests from Group HQ.
  • Documenting and maintenance of working process notes and Internal Audit Management.
  • Support Group Tax with Transfer Pricing, CbCR Reporting (ROI), DAC6/MDR reporting.

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting / tax qualification (P/Q CIMA, ACA, ACCA, ATT) / Qualified by experience.
  • 3 years of controlling/accounting experience in a Private Equity/PLC environment.
  • Ideal experience in FMCG with a large number of clients.
  • Technical accounting knowledge (including IFRS) and a good understanding of relevant UK tax principles.
  • ERP and finance application systems experience, notably M3, Cognos, Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office range, PowerPoint, Word amp; Excel.
  • VAT / Corporation Tax knowledge.
  • An analytical mindset, with the confidence to articulate process improvements across the Finance function.
  • An ability to identify control or process weaknesses and to support implementation of best working practices.
  • Thrives in a driven and time pressured environment.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload.
