Job Description

We're looking for a Lead UI Artist to join us on a dark, story-driven next generation 'Narrative Adventure' with genre defining goals

This huge, highly ambitious partnership project takes atmosphere, storytelling, player agency and narrative firmly into ground-breaking territory on next-generation hardware technologies.

This project has AAA ambitions with a heavy focus on art, animation and delivering unique character performances to heighten player presence and immersion to new levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Art Director and other Leads to develop and refine workflows
  • Be responsible for the entire package, from initial high-level concepts/moodboard to final design
  • Help to deliver the graphic design work in a game ready state
  • Working with Dev Managers to ensure a realistic time estimates are given
  • Bring your own experience of best working practices to the team
  • Identify shortfalls in skills and support ongoing recruitment efforts to grow the Art team

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead UI Artist on at least one shipped PC or console title
  • Experience working on a AAA title
  • A good level of technical expertise
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop / Illustrator
  • A drive to constantly push graphic design quality
  • A strong interest in design and typography
  • Experience with people management, skills development and mentoring
  • Previous experience with Unreal Engine or a proprietary engine

ADDITIONAL OR DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Good UX Knowledge
  • Familiar with 3D Software Packages
