The Opportunity
We are seeking a Legal Consultant to join the Structured Products team with a Tier 1 Investment Bank. The project is initially six months FTC - on-going, offering a competitive day rate and will be an initial remote contract, but ultimately based in Canary Wharf, in line with Covid-19 government guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside six senior lawyers (plus some law firm secondees).
- Manage all transactional work across asset classes, including derivative and regulatory transactions.
- Review pricing supplements/final terms sent from the documentation team.
- Review term sheets from the business.
- Produce templates/precedents for the documentation team.
- Handle transactional documentation, product issuance and note warrants.
- Point of contact for queries from the business and documentation team.
- Instructing counsel.
- Liaise with various stakeholders at all levels (business, operations, product control) within the business.
Requirements
- Experience in similar role focusing on equities, with a Bank and/or law firm.
- Qualified Lawyer is highly advantageous.
- Structured products/capital markets/derivatives experience.
- Experience in a structured product transaction management team is advantageous.
- Experience in drafting final terms/pricing supplements.
- Experience in prospectus updates and approvals is advantageous.
- Confident communicator with ability to liaise with senior counsel and stakeholders within the business.
- Derivatives experience/knowledge is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Highly organised with time management skills.
