Here’s what you will do

As a DMW Transformation Director you will spend much of your time working on client site, often as part of a diverse team, made up of consultants, client staff and with a combination of contractors, vendor employees. Your role will vary, engaging clients at the strategic level to shape their transformation strategy, translating the strategy into the target operating model, defining the change management approach and driving the implementation of change to deliver results. No two engagements are the same!

As well as client delivery activity, you can expect to get involved with activities supporting the growth of DMW, for example thought leadership, proposition and service development, networking and sales. As an expanding capability within DMW your network and ability to build new relationships will be key to success.

You can expect to work as part of internal teams, bringing new ideas and project managing internally facing activities of the business such as recruitment, marketing or external partner relationship management.

We are seeking Transformation Directors who have a strong business transformation delivery and sales competence.

Typically, you’ll display a high degree of competence in operating at a strategic level with clients to shape and deliver their most important programmes and have credibility in multiple areas of expertise and will be invited by the client to contribute to areas outside the "problem at hand". These include:

  • Transformation strategy and business case development
  • Target operating model design and implementation
  • Business change management and communications
  • Operational improvements and readiness
  • Transformation Quality Assurance
  • You will also help develop and inspire our talent through coaching, mentoring and promoting DMW values of: Integrity, Intelligence, Personal Touch, Tenacity and Pragmatism within our firm and at our clients.

Requirements

  • Experience of lead Transformation roles on large programmes of work at CxO level with significant business change implications.
  • Demonstrable experience of originating and closing new client transformation sales.
  • Track record of managing and opening up transformation consulting opportunities on exiting accounts focused on different service offerings
  • Work collaboratively with other DMW teams to develop compelling transformation propositions to drive sales
  • Experience and confidence to operate within complex and political client working environments.
  • Comfortable as a Client partner/Account Manager; regularly engages with their contact base.
  • Experience of guiding/coaching more junior colleagues in project delivery
  • Commercially savvy from both a sales and delivery perspective
  • Full programme lifecycle from business case and initiation through to implementation
  • You are perceptive, personable, culturally sensitive and demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence. Being able to work collaboratively in a matrix organisation is essential, as is the ability to manage and nurture varied, senior stakeholder relationships.
  • With your excellent written and verbal communication skills, you'll have the ability to communicate complex information easily to your audience.
  • Regarded as a consulting role model, with a resulting ability to help DMW attract new consultants to our firm as we continue our growth.
  • A practical understanding of DMW’s capabilities, and the ability to tailor these to specific client needs and problems

Desirable skills

  • Ideally you will also have relevant formal certifications (e.g. TOGAF, APMG Change Management, Prosci, 6Sigma, MSP, Agile etc)
  • Experience in Financial Services, Energy, Central Government and Defence sectors will be an advantage.
  • Additional European language.
