Job Description
We’re looking for a backend developer to work closely with our Head of Technology (we’re a startup!), delivering well built, fully tested APIs and other backend services.

Requirements
As a Backend Developer you’ll be able to interpret technical specifications and build services that fulfil project requirements. You’ll be a creative thinker with the ability to construct plans methodically. Being detail orientated, with the ability to understand the makeup of a system and the right place to integrate new solutions or extend current ones.
You’ll have an interest in working with different algorithms and getting to know their benefits and limitations alongside their practical applications to the projects you’re working on. Strong teamwork skills are essential as collaborative problem solving is sometimes a necessity!
You’ll have at least a few years experience working in backend development, but keen to learn and grow your skills.
- A proficient knowledge in PHP and MVC architecture
- Experience in all things Laravel
- Some experience in Wordpress / headless Wordpress / WooCommerce
- REST and GraphQl specs
- Basic knowledge of cloud technology (AWS, DigitalOcean, Firebase)
- Basic knowledge of containerising applications with Docker and orchestrating deployments with Docker Composer and Kubernetes
