Embedded QA Tester (Action Shooter)

Job Description
We are looking for an Embedded QA Tester to work on a ground-breaking next generation PvP shooter project. This is a AAA quality original IP at an exciting stage! The opportunity is to join at the earliest stages of a multi-year development and help shape an incredible new game experience.
The project is a huge multi-platform next generation action shooter experience with a heavy focus on Games as a Service, looking to bring unique mechanics and a bombastic tone to blow the doors off and bring something new to the genre!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carrying out functional, performance, usability and compliance tests on multiple platforms.
- Creating and managing test suites to ensure appropriate test deliverables.
- Finding and reporting issues in a clear an accurate manner.
- Working with the QA Lead, developers and production to identify areas of focus for testing.
- Highlighting and escalating key risks to the product.
- Highlighting improvements to our testing and work processes.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role in the games industry.
- Execution of functional, usability and performance tests on different projects and platforms.
- Able to efficiently and accurately report issues.
- Can provide constructive feedback on gameplay / balance aspects of projects when required.
- Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Problem solving/ analytical skills, with great attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate, with excellent working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
Additional or Desired skills:
- Experience of Test Management tools.
- Knowledge of JIRA and Test Rail.
- Knowledge of test automation practices and automation tools.
- Knowledge of Compliance Requirements for different platforms.
- Knowledge of Linux server.
- Understanding and awareness of UK compliance and gaming commission legislation.
