Founded in 2011 and after four years evolving the concept, Culture Trip secured seed funding of $2 million in 2015, Series A funding of $20 million in 2016, a funding injection of $80 million in 2018 and, in August 2020, we secured additional funding to drive further growth.
We are looking for a communications and PR generalist who is passionate about delivering creative, stand-out communications supporting the business and brand strategy. In this role, you will be working on a variety of initiatives across consumer, corporate, trade and internal communications. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, based in London, the Communications amp; PR Manager will focus on driving brand awareness and understanding using a wide spectrum of communication tactics and channels, and will also focus on ensuring employees around the world engage with the company strategy. This position is open at an exciting time for the business as we continue to evolve as a travel ecommerce brand with content at its core.
A self-starter with 6+ years experience in communications and PR, the candidate will have a track-record of successfully delivering communications for a consumer brand and creating high visibility in relevant media; most likely, you will have previously worked in travel (knowledge of media and the tech industry is desirable).Responsibilities
  • Help develop and deliver imaginative, cut-through PR strategies and initiatives, driving positive press coverage that puts our brand top of mind amongst our target audiences
  • Ensure a consistent drumbeat of high-impact, consumer, trade and corporate PR activity across a variety of publications, supporting the overall business objectives
  • Identify strong and relevant PR hooks and initiatives, write press releases and pitch to media to drive press coverage
  • Identify, pitch and manage interview and speaking opportunities, including briefing and content creation
  • Ensure message consistency across all communication materials and channels
  • Manage and handle media enquiries as well as incidents and crisis
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant media and lead a highly-efficient inhouse press office
  • Responsible for measuring, monitoring and reporting press coverage and results
  • Working closely with our Social Media team on influencer initiatives
  • Manage internal communications, working closely with the People Team and Leadership Team, to ensure employees around the world engage with the company strategy and goals (incl. managing a calendar of internal communications activity, organising regular all staff meetings, drafting internal communication materials etc.)
  • Help build and protect our employer brand, including managing our corporate LinkedIn presence
