Requirements

The Role

You will join our Professional Services team based out of our Manchester office, providing general technology expertise, consulting advice and technical delivery across a wide range of clients and industry sectors. You will play a leading role to help our clients achieve business success with technology, by assessing systems (applications amp; infrastructure), people capability and processes and advising on risks, improvement opportunities and then help in delivering change. You will:


  • Operate as the lead consultant on client engagements, overseeing delivery, managing client expectations and directing the work of others who are instrumental in delivering the work, including technical consultants, developers, project Managers/scrum Masters.

Essential skills

  • Have a technical background in the software industry.
  • Knowledge of private equity backed businesses would be considered an asset but not essential.
  • Work collaboratively but very hands on within the team in order to deliver under time constrains,
  • An impressive career history operating in senior roles with exposure to a variety of industries and broad technology understanding, ideally gained from previous experience as a senior developer/architect/programme manager.
  • You’ll have prior senior consulting and/or sales experience at some points in your career, and also familiarity and comfort working in smaller, dynamic organisations and relish the opportunity to help drive business growth
  • Demonstrable examples of where you’ve led significant technology programmes and complex projects, such as technology strategy creation, overseeing platform re-engineering or migrations, transformation programmes including business change, vendor / package selection
  • Possess first class account management and consultative skills at CxO level, being adept at communicating recommendations, highlighting risks and also flagging new opportunities with professionalism and integrity.
  • Broad understanding of technology categories and packages and first-hand experience in a number of the following: eCommerce, CMS, AdTech, WorkFlow, Databases, CRM, BI, Order Management, Warehouse and Inventory Management.
  • Past experience of building bespoke software solutions and/or the considerations involved in doing so.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (ideally AWS) and contemporary configuration management, containerisation/orchestration and operational monitoring (CICD)
  • Proven experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum and Kanban)
  • Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
  • Be commercially minded and display a natural instinct to identify and then develop new sales opportunities wherever there is value for the client and Intechnica, following through to lead on pre-sales activities and new proposals.
