Job Description

What is the purpose of this role?

This role sits within our commercial team who deliver the revenue growth and diversification in UK sales by aligning the activities of new product development, optimized packages and producing sales performance metrics and analysis to drive constant improvement.

Due to continued growth of our publishing verticals, Future Plc are looking for an individual with a strong background in marketing or sales environment, that has an ability to strategically identify new revenue streams within our new existing and product verticals. You will be responsible for defining new incentives, solutions and establishing how these interplay with the wider business teams. This role will enable you to be influential in shaping the direction of our go to market strategy and pushing these initiatives into the commercial teams.

You will be well versed in campaign planning, data/reporting to drive a high performing culture and products, understanding saes and marketing initiatives that drive return on investment and be able to strategically map out new and existing product ventures.

Within the role you will:

  • Manage the quarterly GTM plan and Sales launch that will include outlining the sales performance targets agreed with the UK CRO and Commercial directors for each team, updating on new product development and packages, highlighting seasonal events and opportunities and reporting on industry trends and insights that are relevant to increase sales performance.
  • Manage new product delivery with the Commercial Operations and Engineering teams
  • Create training plans and materials for sales teams on new products and packages, ensuring that all sales teams are trained in a timely manner to achieve quarterly GTM plans.
  • Review client feedback with commercial directors to improve and adapt current products and packages
  • Identify opportunities for revenue optimisation and diversification
  • Develop and implement sales performance plans with supporting teams to increase revenue growth
  • Be a champion of sales performance, select the KPIs and metrics that matter most, produce the appropriate reports or dashboards with the sales performance team, analyse and present back findings to UK CRO monthly to shape future performance plans.
  • Support other projects where there is a commercial performance opportunity such as the integration of the new business acquisition or launch of a new brand/website.

Requirements

What do I need to succeed?

  • Proven experience in a strategic marketing and/or sales role
  • Experience in end to end campaign planning at a strategic level
  • Ability to understand and identify relevant sales data and work with business intelligence teams to drive value from this
  • Proven success in creating and mapping out strategic go to market approach for Digital products
  • Experience with social media incentives, digital ad solutions
  • Ability to plan training sessions and upskill sales teams
  • Evidence of working in collaboration with product and marketing teams to drive aligned strategic road maps
  • Commercially minded in being able to drive customer revenue and create business plans and manage these through to post realisation
