You’ll be joining a team of six passionate professionals working flexibly to write content for Twinkl’s thriving Maths product. This excellent team creates and updates a wide range of Maths resources for use in primary schools. This includes PowerPoints, display materials, activity sheets, assessments, planning and intervention packs. The majority of your time will be spent creating content for our Same Day Intervention content. This is intended to support those working in classrooms and enabling children to ‘keep up’ removing the need to ‘catch up’.

Your weekly activity could include:

Primary Maths is an established market for Twinkl with over 12, 000 individual resources available on site. You will have the creative freedom to shape the content we offer to our customers. Our ideal candidate will be going further than writing content by suggesting new product ideas, identifying needs in the Maths teaching community, sharing their experiences and expertise with others. It is an exciting time for the Twinkl Classic Maths product. The successful candidate will be vital in ensuring that these ambitious plans for Classic Maths become a reality. This is a work from home, flexible position, and hours can be agreed between you and your line manager to fit around your current commitments.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • be a fantastic communicator who thrives when working in a close-knit team of seven writers;
  • be focused on collaboration, using feedback to make our resources the best they can be;
  • have detailed knowledge of a range of the primary Maths curriculum;
  • have an excellent understanding of the needs of primary school teachers and support staff delivering Maths learning within the classroom or at home.

In this role, you will learn:

  • how to create new teacher content for our Maths team, from ideation stage to publication on the site;
  • remote collaboration, working closely with writers across the UK;
  • how to develop greater commercial awareness so we can understand the needs of those we want to help.

You’ll be working with:

Outside of work, he is a very active person; his first degree was a BSC Hons in Sports Biomedicine. He enjoys cricket, football, running and cycling, plus watching sports documentaries when he’s at home.
  • Abbie Strange (Classic Maths Team Content Writer) - Abbie joined the Classic Maths team at Twinkl a year ago. She has over 18 years of teaching experience working across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as a class teacher.
