Location: Twinkl HQ, Sheffield (with remote working until social distancing has been relaxed)

Annual Salary: 30,000 to 40,000 per annum dependent on experience

Contract: 37.5 hours/week, Permanent

We are looking for someone to inform Twinkl’s product strategy and product owners with specialist digital expertise.

Working closely with our Chief Product Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Head of Product and individual Product Owners you’ll ensure Twinkl has a joined up product strategy that embraces digital opportunities. Informing, shaping and helping others execute on these opportunities will be a core part of your responsibility, so you’ll bring great technical knowledge and a keen understanding of digital trends; experience in the education/edtech sector is highly desirable.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can develop and maintain communication across departments. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to play a key role in the development of popular educational offerings and engage children in learning.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • Informing Twinkl’s product strategy with your digital expertise, identifying key digital opportunity objectives and deliverables for relevant products.
  • Supporting and advising product owners towards mature digital strategy for their product.
  • Improving Twinkl’s existing digital products: Create, Go!, Symbols, Apps, Planner, the Twinkl Assessment Platform, Report Writer, and OneStepCPD.
  • Maintaining an overview of digital products, monitoring progress towards deadlines and understanding current business priorities to ensure product cohesion.
  • Supporting Product Owners by executing key digital product improvements.
  • Evaluating data in order to inform decisions and support ideation and product development.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Have strong organisational skills, someone who thrives on spinning multiple plates at a time and is able to to prioritise, devise and coordinate projects.
  • Act as technical authority; advising and actively supporting product owners.
  • Deliver on time and provide appropriately challenging timescales to the team.
  • Be data driven, using it to inform decisions.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Work to KPIs, analyse performance and drive improvements to achieve these.
  • Own, support and continually improve digital product content.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to use Jira to track and monitor progress
  • How to use Tableau to access and analyze data
  • Agile ways of working

KPIs

  • Twinkl apps to achieve 10% greater impressions year on year
  • Clear vision set out and updated quarterly on the direction of digital products at Twinkl
  • Twinkl Create and Twinkl Go to hit retention and acquisition targets

You’ll work with:

  • The Chief Product Officer amp; CTO, Head of Product and Product Development Assistants to discuss direction, progress and priorities.
  • Product Owners, to ensure clear product digital strategy and cohesion to your overall digital strategy.
  • The Product Data Analyst to inform decision making with data.
  • All other relevant areas of the business as you execute your digital strategy.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience of commercial digital product/service ownership, ideally in the edtech/education sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in setting and executing digital product strategy.
  • As part of your application, please provide examples of digital products/services that you have owned, or managed to delivery.
