Job Description

The Drum Studio aims to be the world best brand content studio in our sector. We already work for some of the largest tech companies and even marketing agencies. Yes, The Drum is effectively an agency, for agencies. We are now seeking a great Creative Director to consolidate a reputation for cut-through work and branded content that is every bit as engaging as our independent editorial. The ideal candidate will be well organised on one level, but also irreverent on another. A great persuader who will help our clients adopt the right solutions for their business - even if they break conventions and challenge pre-conceived ideas. They will be able to show how B2B can every bit as fun and engaging as B2C. However, they will also be comfortable integrating digital and martech systems into their creative solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading on content strategies for The Drum Studios clients
  • Workshopping with clients to identify most appropriate editorial or creative response
  • Creating campaigns that include video, print, live events, AR and digital elements
  • Devising talking points for live panels, debates and interviews
  • Commissioning and managing freelance resource
  • Ensuring all commercial content produced by The Drum meets high standards
  • Overseeing production workflows and making sure agreed production processes are followed
  • Supporting commercial colleagues on pitches and briefs as required
  • Supporting recruitment of speakers, panelists and interviewees

Requirements

  • 8+ years industry experience
  • Proven background in designing high-quality content for top global brands
  • Knowledge of online media, digital editions, social networks and digital trends
  • Experience pitching and selling branded content
  • Experience of leading on content within a media brand, agency or similar organisation
  • Strong storytelling, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically in creative ideation
