We are currently seeking a social native Account Director. This is the perfect role for you if you have come up through the social media manager ranks, and have progressed through your career to be a leader that is inherently, naturally, gloriously integrated, both online and off. You’ll think like a social media manager, with the direction of a seasoned Account Handler. Everyone wants your input, opinion, and approval. People trust you. You feel in your bones what’s works to optimize platform performance for brands and you efficiently, effortlessly direct a team to deliver the right stuff, every time.

You will deepen the client relationship and grow their business in a meaningful way. Your day-to-day work will be strategic in nature, optimizing channel performance and providing creative, practical solutions to client issues. You will devise engagement strategies, approve content, manage scopes, deliverables, and campaigns, and oversee reporting and resource allocation to ensure that all parties stay true to the strategic vision and voice across channels 24/7, 365.

Role involves:

  • Managing, maintaining and growing the relationship with the client and key stakeholders
  • Direct and have a positive impact on projects, teams, and clients by providing direction and vision to follow
  • Maintaining a superior relationship with all departments in the agency and understands the strategic goals of the account and contributes to their communication to the agency team
  • Management and mentorship of junior staff members
  • Communicating with senior leadership about account status while proactively finding solutions to issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in integrated account management in an agency setting
  • 3+ years experience in social media management for leading, Global brands
  • Experience of working on international brands, either Globally or locally
  • Experience implementing social media and digital campaigns across IG, TW, FB and TikTok
  • Experience managing and mentoring large teams across multiple disciplines, including social media management, account and project management
  • Confidence to work autonomously, directly a team and client as required
  • Can demonstrate excellent client management, including ridged commitment to processes, communication and proactive problem solving
  • Natural leadership abilities both with the client and the internal team
  • Can work with the integrated team to put together thought-through presentations with a clear narrative, from brief to next steps
  • Experience working with strategic and creative departments, and understands how to get the best out of them
  • Able to take minimal direction from clients to work alongside strategists to put together an internal creative brief.
  • Take a role in leading creative briefings, including inputting into briefs as required
  • Experience of managing the creative process, able to offer informed feedback on creative
  • Can put together clear, realistic project plans and timings to manage the client and internal teams
  • Can work alongside Project Managers to ensure project timings are communicated to all stakeholders, adhered to and projects are delivered on time
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams at any one time
  • Alarmingly smooth communication skills: persuasive, strategic, proactive, diplomatic
  • Uncanny attention to detail
  • A ‘can do’ approach. No problem is too big, and there is always a solution.
  • Rockstar presentation skills
  • Experience managing large budgets
  • Commitment to excellence working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation
  • Possesses an eager willingness to grow within the organization
  • Passion for music a huge plus
  • Ideally experience of managing pan-European teams
  • Ideally experience working at a Global to market level, e.g. localizing Global campaigns for local markets
  • Knowledge of media also beneficial
