About the role.

As a HR generalist, with CIPD qualifications, you will be joining a fast paced, fast-growing business. With growth comes challenge and a wealth of opportunity. This role would suit a HR professional who relishes anything other than the conventional. You must be able to think on your feet, cope well with ambiguity and thrive on learning from the unknown.

Working collaboratively with the HR Lead, you will be dealing with a wide variety of day-to-day matters that come with joining a start-up business going through an exciting period of growth. As part of a small team you will deliver exceptional generalist support to a broad range of internal customers within the technology space.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure operational excellence across the entire employee life cycle, including preparing contracts, reference letters, maternity and parental leave, and other related areas.
  • Assist with the full recruitment process by supporting managers with scheduling, screening, reporting, ensuring the entire process is streamlined from initial interview to offer stage.
  • Assist with onboarding of all new starters including inductions, liaising with IT, managing the onboarding .
  • Supporting employee relations cases. This includes, but is not limited, to absence management, the disciplinary process; handling grievances and performance management in line with the UK employment policies, employment law and good practice.
  • Supporting and facilitating HR and business processes.
  • Support the training process in identifying and delivering training across the business.
  • Strong focus on embedding the company values and culture.
  • Assist with ad hoc special projects as required.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in a HR generalist capacity.
  • Level 5 CIPD or equivalent HR related qualification.
  • Working experience in a high growth tech start-up sector preferred.
  • Comfortable with using G suite, slack etc
  • Keen attention to detail with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong record showing responsibility and judgment including exercise of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Resilient, highly motivated and comfortable working independently and remotely.
  • Flexibility and demonstrated ability to take initiatives; comfortable working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Proven ability to build trust with all levels of stakeholders.

Bonus skills and attributes

Previous experience working in a Fintech business.

Experience in professional customer service environment.
