That's where you, the Factory Manager, come in.
On the day to day, you’ll be:
- Meeting or exceeding the targets set by the Ops Manager and aligned with the business needs, ensuring production requirements and deadlines are achieved with excellent quality and service, safely
- Coaching and developing their team to enable them to contribute to their full potential, thereby improving overall factory results
- Ensure that the equipment and resources are utilised effectively (manage and optimise labour requirements, maximise production capability)
- Analyse thoroughly production data, identify losses, root cause fix inefficiencies, document improvements, and train our teams in the best practices
- Lead and coach root cause problem solving
- Effectively communicate priorities to the teams and escalate issues within their area of ownership
About this Role:
This job is focused on owning our entire Factory Operations. You’ll act as a catalyst to our growth by leading and managing the production team, taking ownership from manufacturing, process improvement and performance analysis . You will work as an active member of the factory leadership team ensuring the operation consistently achieves customer service and production levels based on performance metrics in a safe and efficient manner.
If you’re a curious problem-solver with ideas to spare, then this role is for you. It’s designed for someone with a strong Factory Managing and Team Coordination background who can create and implement ideas to improve quality and efficiency.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate is someone who can:
- Deliver on operational targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale) across the factory
- Ensure professional behaviour, and high shop floor appearance standards at all time
- Always be aware of what the shop floor results are, what the priority work is, what the future priorities are and how they are to be achieved. Make sure the team is similarly informed
- Have a strong knowledge of technical aspects of production lines, quality, safety, planning, reliability, and schedule adherence systems so that you can lead these activities from a position of authority
- Be personally proactive (and develop team members to do the same) in looking for and executing improvements, anticipating and fixing problems before they occur
- Driving their team development and engagement to enable them to fix any problems themselves without recourse to a manager (self-sufficient teams)
