Chaucer has recently launched two UK Centres of Excellence (CoE's) in Data, AI amp; Technology, and in Strategy amp; Human Capital. These CoE's will develop Chaucer’s strategic services, coordinate the activities in the Practices, and support the selling of client solutions based on the services and on our existing skill sets.

As part of this growth strategy an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Lead - Strategy amp; Human Capital to be part of a team developing and taking to market a range of strategic service offerings.

Requirements

Service Leads will be responsible for:

  • Developing one or more of Chaucer's strategic service offerings
  • Business development activities for Chaucer's CoE offerings, working with Chaucer’s client teams
  • Development of skills and knowledge and capacity required to deliver the solutions, with Practice Leads and People Development
  • Sponsorship of service engagements this will include billing as an SME or as a leader in the client team as well as oversight and coaching in cooperation with the Delivery Lead and client teams
  • Active promotion of Chaucer and the service offerings internally, in BIP, in our clients and in the wider industry community
  • Founder service leads will demonstrate considerable powers of leadership, structured thinking, team building, and stewardship.
  • Service Leads will be well placed to move on to positions of increasing responsibility as Chaucer pursues its ambitious growth plans.


Assessment criteria will be based on the following areas of expertise and understanding:

  • 10 years minimum experience, most recently in high-value consulting
  • Industry delivery experience in one or more of the following sectors:
  • Financial services
  • Public services including NHS and Central Government
  • Energy and Utilities
  • Life sciences, healthcare products and pharmaceuticals
  • Manufacturing, retail, travel and transportation

Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Technology including IT strategy, applications and service management
  • Data strategy and exploitation
  • Operating model, workforce and organisational development
  • Finance, treasury and performance management
  • Agile Operating Models and Methodologies
