Job Description

You will be focused on a selection of clients within the group, with client facing responsibilities. You’ll be part of both the media planning and the buying, in particular leading recommendations involving the use of digital media channels, coordinating and writing the supporting detailed media plans. Great organisation, internal and external team coordination skills, a passion for client servicing and making the complex simple will be critical.

  • You’ll be a direct client contact maintaining a strong working relationship and ensuring we are continually considered as an extension of the marketing team
  • You’ll understand your client’s category, add value with your opinions and demonstrate an ability to make recommendations that will positively impact their businesses
  • You’ll help to give day to day guidance to less experienced team members
  • Understand new trends amp; introduce new media opportunities within your planning
  • Define the role for digital media channels within campaign strategies
  • Work with specialist teams to deliver cohesive, fully-integrated cross-channel plans amp; clearly communicate to clients how the channels will work together
  • Understand how both individual channel KPIs and overall campaign KPIs will be used to measure the success of your plans
  • Be able to source and recommend suitable performance benchmarks against KPIs set
  • Understand how to build test and learn opportunities into your planning when relevant
  • Present cross-channel plans to clients
  • Manage media bookings and finance process in particular for digital channels, including campaign set-up, management and reconciliation
  • Manage campaign reporting amp; analysis, confidently making recommendations for optimisations and adjustments to better deliver the client’s business objectives
  • You’ll be able to coordinate and lead regular client calls and meeting including weekly client statuses and reporting meetings
  • You’ll coordinate amp; collate central account management documents such as year plans amp; finance trackers for use of the client amp; the wider agency team

  • Practical: A ‘doer’, but with an instinct for what can really be achieved when planning and buying plans.

Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in media planning and buying agencies
  • Currently in a role that involves digital channel planning amp; buying as part of a fully-integrated media planning approach
  • A working knowledge of the current media market landscape and be fluent in their ability to communicate this to clients
  • A thorough understanding of existing and developing opportunities within every digital media channel and an appreciation of the evolving nature of data compliance and its implications for media planning
  • A strong understanding of campaign evaluation knowing how to set and measure against both media, brand and business KPIs
  • Knowledge of and experience with key planning tools such as Touchpoints, Comscore, RACE, YouGov, Kantar Tgi, Nielson, GA, Google Trends amp; intermediate advanced Excel amp; PPT
  • Excellent time management skills, both of yourself and others
