MishiPay (https://mishipay.com/) was founded in 2015 by Mustafa Khanwala (/in) and Tanvi Bhardwaj (/in), bringing the best of the online checkout experience to physical stores.
We do this with our Scan, Pay and Go experience. Using our native apps on Android or iOS, or our web app available on Chrome or Safari, shoppers scan the barcode on products they wish to buy in store using their own phone and pay within the app.. For the shopper this eliminates the time spent in standing in a queue at the till, having a more informed shopping journey and the convenience of digital receipts. For the retailer the benefits include a higher than average basket size, more throughput through the store and data and insights into shopper behaviour. The current Covid-19 crisis has given us another mission to keep retail staff safe whilst giving shoppers the confidence to return to High Streets and malls.
As the world’s leading Scan and Go provider as a third party application into retailers’ stores, we work with some of the world’s largest retailers including names like MUJI, Eroski, Flying Tiger, Dufry, Spar, Londis, Decathlon and many others.
The Role
Due to growth, we're looking for a top-tier talented Assistant Accoutant, with previous experience in a growing SME, wanting their next career move.
We’d love to speak to you if you’re a top-tier, enthusiastic, ambitious, energetic part-qualified Accountant, ideally
pursuing CIMA, ACCA or ACA, who can cope with pace and change in a fast-growing start-up.You'll have some AP and AR experience already, ideally in a tech/SaaS environment and ideally accounts preparation to trial balance level.
We do need someone who can start within one month. This role is a real chance to grow your career with us long-term.
The role will include:
- Managing the accounts payable functions including booking supplier invoices, preparing weekly payment runs, and managing the electronic invoice approval system.
- Managing the accounts receivable functions such as raising monthly customer invoices, liaising with customers, sending reminders and monthly statements, and dealing with queries.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Staff expense processing
- Supporting our Finance Manager, CFO, and other departments on other financial reporting.
Requirements
You’ll also have the following skills and experience:
- Strong experience of working with Xero.
- Excellent Excel skills up to sumifs and vlookups.
- Strong attention to detail and diligence while producing financial information.
- Ideally some accounts preparation - to trial balance level.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels, both internally and externally, written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced organization, growing quickly. You must be able to think on your feet and offer quick and accurate solutions to problems as they arise.
- Ability to work on your own initiative - we’d love you to be proactive and develop internal systems and processes to streamline our accounting.
- Flexibility to multitask and prioritize your workload in a demanding work environment.
