Overview of the RXD team

The RXD team (Research, Experience, Design) covers disciplines that are critical to Zego’s success, and we want it to be a place where designers and researchers have the opportunity to collaborate, grow and bring the user to every part of our decision making. We work hand in hand with product, engineering and business stakeholders, working in an Agile environment of cross-functional teams to ensure that we deliver high quality experiences and interfaces with every product we ship.

Purpose of the role

This role will primarily focus on enabling our marketing and people teams by meeting their needs for graphic materials, building beautiful experiences across the board - from presentations and social media to merchandise. Whilst the output is expected to be mainly digital, an understanding of print will also be needed.

Joining our design team, you’ll be working with Zegons from almost every discipline in the company to ensure our brand and mission are reflected in our designs.

What you will be working on

• You will be the go-to person for design requirements from a variety of teams, handling the requests through to execution, following our brand guidelines
• You will work with other designers to ensure consistency of our visuals across the team, markets and channels
• You will create branded templates and documents, build libraries for a range reusable assets such as images, icons and illustrations, and generally participate in evolving the brand
• You will work collaboratively with our design, marketing and people teams to produce materials that represent Zego to our customers and colleagues

What you will need to be successful

• You’re comfortable communicating your ideas to stakeholders and know when to push back or involve other designers to safeguard brand consistency
• You have practice dealing with business stakeholders, asking the right questions to get clear and organised requirements that keep the customer at the centre of the experience
• You have a great understanding of best practices in design patterns, design principles, typography, hierarchy, and layout, and you keep up to date with current trends
• You are an expert in using tools such as Adobe CC and Figma to develop design concepts into mockups and image assets. Being well versed in either illustrations or animations and motion graphics would be a plus.
• You have empathy, both towards our customers’ needs and your colleagues across the company. You can appreciate and aid in everyone’s efforts into reaching our collective goals, collaborating daily with other departments
