Corin is seeking a Senior Inspector Trainer to ensure alignment, implementation, and competency of the inspection team personnel, in relation to corresponding standards, procedures and processes relating to product acceptance.
The key responsibilities for the Senior Inspector Trainer are to:
- Train of new starters and cross-training of the Inspection team to increase flexibility and maintain alignment.
- Work closely with the Team Leaders to support the daily schedules and priorities.
- Work closely with the engineering team on DHR improvement activities.
- Support cross-training between departments when required.
- Make informed decisions on acceptance on a day to day basis, within the Department, Communications to the QC Manager and/or Product Development Managers as appropriate and other stakeholders in a business.
- Review and maintain Inspection procedures in conjunction with QC Manager.
- Review and maintain training matrices and audit buddy sheets to ensure ongoing competence and compliance.
- Support review and authorisation of returns to Manufacture/Production Control for rework/scrap, disposition product based on a visual standards and procedures and cross-train Inspection department on rework and scrap process.
- Adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin’s ISO13485 QMS amp; Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820
- Ensure that process amp; timeline requirements for Corrective amp; Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with Corin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in support of Corin’s Global Objectives for CAPA.
- Any other duties required by Inspection to support Business activities.
The post-holder will also undertake other related duties as required and deemed appropriate by the Team Leader, to include Cleanroom Inspection.
Requirements
The ideal Senior Inspector Trainer will
- Have mechanical engineering background or have undergone suitable training
- Be patient and accommodating to different pace of learning of new starters
- Be familiar with a Corin product and processes
- Have a good working relationship with other departments
- Be able to manage and motivate the team
- Capable of making informed judgements on acceptance
- Be an expert when it comes to use of inspection equipment, i.e. Vernier’s, micrometres, attribute gauging, CMM etc.
