WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Ripjar develops sophisticated data analysis and visualisation software capable of analysing large amounts of data at scale using cutting edge machine learning analytics.

We're looking for experienced, highly motivated Full Stack Engineers to develop key parts of our software products.

You will have a proven track record in software development, and will be proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Javascript. You will be comfortable with a full range of relevant technologies, including databases, search engines, messaging systems and distributed systems. You will have strong theoretical knowledge and a deep understanding of the mechanics underpinning the technologies you use. You will have a good appreciation of software design principles and the software development lifecycle, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment using agile development methods. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with other developers and stakeholders.

As a Full Stack Engineer you will:-

• Design, develop and test software components, services and middleware across the technology stack.
• Work with developers in your own and other teams to integrate software changes into Ripjar’s products.
• Contribute to wider technical discussions to support the continuous improvement of Ripjar’s technology stack and development processes.
• Work with the Delivery team to provide second line and deep support to Ripjar’s customers.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing, developing and testing software across the stack from the UI to backend services, middleware and databases.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Javascript.
• A good appreciation of software design principles and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Technical Skills/Experience

• Experience with any of React.js, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Node.js and Redis.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and/or programming paradigms.
• Experience with distributed and horizontally scaled systems and services.
• Experience or knowledge of Machine Leaning or Data Science
