Due to our growing portfolio of clients, we are looking for a talented web developer to join our growing engineering team. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, the candidate will be a self-starter, working alongside the Navos team to meet our clients' web development needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing, technology-focused business.

Day to day, the role will involve
- Building modern web applications to meet client requirements
- Writing effective unit and end-to-end test suites
- Participating in client-focused solution design workshops
- Producing innovative web solutions to client needs
- Working with others in the team to achieve client goals
- Speaking to clients and prospective clients
- Researching emerging trends in web development and presenting findings
- Reviewing code in-line with development standards and industry best-practice
- Ensuring that tickets / tasks are kept up to date
- Troubleshooting and resolving bugs / defects
- Writing technical documentation
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in a web developer role or similar
- Proficiency using Git version control and Pull Requests to collaborate within a team
- Proficiency using modern ECMAscript and / or TypeScript features
- Experience using web frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular
- Experience styling UIs using CSS preprocessors such as Sass or LESS
- Experience writing unit tests using tools such as Jest or Jasmine
- Experience writing end-to-end tests that use tools such as Selenium or Robot Framework
- Experience writing webapps that consume REST APIs
- Experience using front-end tools such as Webpack, NPM
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI or GitHub Actions
- Understanding of web application security risks and mitigations
- Understanding of HTML, HTTP and WebSocket fundamentals
- Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Awareness of back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring, C#, .NET
- Awareness of SQL and relational database technologies such as Postgres
- Awareness of REST API design principles
- Awareness of agile working principles
- Awareness of ITIL Framework
- Awareness of PCI-DSS
- Willingness to diversify technical skillset
