We are recruiting for a Wellness Manager to join us at Hale Country Club and Spa, Cheshire's premier health spa. Set in the heart of Cheshire, Hale Country Club and Spa offers exclusivity, unrivalled luxury and class leading facilities. With a state-of-the-art gym, magnificent health spa and sumptuous Japanese fine dining restaurant, nowhere offers more for it's members.
The Wellness Manager will work together with the team to operate an effective and efficient gym, group exercise programme and personal training service for our members. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the gym, provide personal programmes, track progress and provide personal attention to our members. The Wellness Manager will also provide a quality health and fitness operation ensuring member's expectations are exceeded.
Main Duties of the role
- To develop the role of Wellness / Fitness Manager to achieve an increasingly efficient and effecting method of operating
- To drive member and guest experience through consistently high service standards
- To drive Personal Training revenue, manage the process and marketing of the team
- To oversee the Studio Coordinator and monitor studio occupancy including instructor costs
- Drive our club ethos through ensuring KPI's are met by the wellness team
- To provide members with a quality experience in the gym, group exercise programme and pool, ensuring a high level of membership retention
- To develop, implement and market all aspects of the services provided in the gym, group exercise and through Personal Training
- Recruit, train and regularly appraise and review the performance of all fitness personnel, ensuring that detail training plans are developed to reflect the business needs
- Assume total responsibility for the management of the gym and studio's ensuring that the cleanliness of these areas are maintained to a high standard
- Be responsible for setting budgets, monitoring fitness related costs and all expenses
- Be responsible for maintenance of all gym, studio's and equipment
- Be aware of the Health and Safety at Work Act, licensing and fire regulations and ensure these are strictly adhered to
- Perform Duty Management duties as required, on a rota basis
Requirements
- Exposure to managing gym operations, preferably with a studio timetable of 100+ classes per week
- Fitness industry experience at managerial level essential
- REPS level 3 qualified
- A passion for group exercise and knowledge of industry trends
- Experience of managing Personal Training and teams
- Commercial mind-set with a focus on maximising fitness revenue opportunities and worming to budgets
