Job Description

We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to come and join the Finance team here in Dumfries.

Your role will comprise of the processing and preparation of accounting data to meet financial management and reporting objectives. You will join an experienced team providing financial reporting, SOX compliance and management support for the UK Animal Health businesses. You will have the potential to progress to a qualified accountant and have responsibility for the accounts for a smaller group business.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly accounting statements with specific responsibility for certain areas of the balance sheet.
  • Account for bank amp; cash transactions
  • Accounting and administration of capital expenditure
  • Preparation and analysis of KPIs for the finance team and wider business
  • Assisting the financial accountant with the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Support continuous improvement activities in the finance department and wider business
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and accuracy, together with an enquiring mind are the key attributes for the successful candidate


You

  • Fully or partly qualified CA/ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a finance department or accountancy practice
  • Graduate or High level of achievement at A level or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and an ability to analyse large data sets / large volumes of transations
  • Experience of SAP / S/4Hana would be advantageous
