Job Description
Cellular Highways is a start-up with the mission to launch a range of automated high-throughput cell sorting instruments for research and clinical applications. The venture has strong backing from TTP Group, an established technology innovation and development firm.
We are looking for interns from technical or scientific backgrounds who would like to spend 1 year with us, making an important contribution to our growing business.
You will work closely with our team of engineers, physicists and biologists as we understand user needs, design complex systems, build prototypes, conduct experiments and analyse data. In this way, you will participate in the development of a ground-breaking new product. This internship offers a unique experience and many training opportunities, which will provide a strong foundation for your career ahead.
Requirements
When considering applications, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and personal characteristics:
- Excellent A-levels (or equivalent) in technical subjects
- Currently studying towards (or intending to study) an undergraduate degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Biomedical, Electrical and Electronics, General, Information, Mechanical or Software), Life Sciences, Biology or Physics at a leading university (similar disciplines considered)
- Evidence of good hands-on, practical skills
- Enthusiastic and curious in nature. We want people who love to learn and get to the heart of a problem and who do so enthusiastically!
- An ability to be both creative and to make things work
- Well organised and able to work efficiently towards set objectives
- Good oral and written communication skills
