How can you change it up?

As a Fibre Network Planner, you’ll produce robust and cost-effective civils and fibre-optic infrastructure designs in accordance with defined methodologies, architecture and project timelines. These must be suitable for both the customer’s and the business’ requirements.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing suitable civils and fibre optic infrastructure which are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose and future-proof
  • Undertaking site surveys in accordance with CityFibre’s safety guidelines
  • Forecasting capex and opex requirements of designed infrastructure projects
  • Producing detailed industry-standard documentation of that design
  • Driving consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness

What will you bring to the role?

We’re looking for someone who has a detailed understanding of all aspects of civil route and fibre planning. It’s essential you have a full understanding of local and national authority regulations, in respect to civil engineering works. You’ll also;

  • Have the ability to produce detailed industry standard level of survey, installation and as-built documentation
  • Have a working knowledge of industry recognised GIS software
  • NRSWA methodologies and design (NRSWA accreditation units 1 and 2 desirable)
  • Working knowledge of GE SmallWorld
  • FTTH methodologies and design
  • Full driving license
