Delli is a simple, fun and inspiring food community, in your pocket. Bringing together the most creative and independent food brands and businesses together, Delli aims to foster positive conversations, relationships and behaviours around food.

Delli is a new concept from Simon Beckerman, also founder of fashion marketplace Depop: a community with 20 million registered users in 147 countries, and a team of over 300 people.


Delli wants to operate on three pillars:

  1. Community: We want to create a vibrant community that learns from and inspires each other. A community that harnesses the power of food to help create a better, happier life for one another. A desire to embrace all that’s new and interesting in the world of food and it’s varied culture.
  2. Entrepreneurship: The best businesses are simple. We want to encourage entrepreneurship by creating a platform that makes it easy for new food ventures to flourish. Be it starting a new cloud based restaurant or diversifying into cookware.
  3. Ethical Eating: We are what we eat. And what we eat affects society and the planet. Delli wants to encourage a more ethical eating, whether it’s being more careful about the environment, or labor practices, treatment of food animals, or even the unintended effects of food policy. By empowering the right small businesses and inspiring consumers, we want to make eating better, easier and more fun.


Your Role at Delli

You will be Delli's Creative Producer and report directly into the Head of Brand Marketing amp; Community. You will be responsible for delivering Delli's place within culture and be the voice of Delli

  • You will work closely with the social media manager to ensure the Delli editorial offering is unique, topical, informative and a sought-after resource
  • You will be the gatekeeper to our editorial content: commissioning artists / writers / photographers / videographers, ensuring deliverables are up to a high standard, in keeping with the Delli tone of voice and appealing (whilst challenging) our community
  • You will be responsible for the whole editorial schedule: from ideation, to commissioning, to budgets, to delivery, to analysis - keeping a tight rein over all elements
  • You will have a unique point of view - producing content that challenges our audience and ourselves and pushing boundaries within the food industry
  • You will have the ability to produce nuanced, engaging content across multiple formats - from long form editorial to short form social
  • You will have a great eye for detail and lead creative confidently
  • You will be willing to be hands-on as well as manage creatives to produce content that people will love
  • You will be part trend spotter, part editor, part creator - keeping Delli on the cusp of what's new, interesting amp; helpful for our users
  • You will work closely with the community amp; marketing teams: always thinking creatively on the best way to bring our ideas to life
  • Constantly try and evaluate new products and technologies - recommending and testing new platforms where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with the whole team towards product launch

Requirements

  • You will have 5+ years experience in a similar culturally forward editorial role
  • You have an infectious amp; genuine passion for good food, wine amp; sustainability as well as broader culture
  • You are in tune with what is going on in the world around them amp; have great taste - you are able to piece together different elements of culture to paint a cohesive world for Delli
  • You are a big consumer of media in general - with loads of different interests which help inform your rounded point of view
  • You are ambitious - wanting to push the boundaries of editorial and have a desire to be constantly testing and trying new things
  • You have impeccable written, oral and inter-personal communication skills
  • You are creative amp; original with a keen eye for detail in art direction, talent selection, commissioning amp; storyboarding
  • Alongside that, a great eye for new talent, whether that be writers, photographers, videographers or animators
  • Be naturally inquisitive amp; interested - we want Delli to have a natural place within culture and this will start internally
  • You hold that rare balance between being creative and being organised; able to work independently and remain in control under pressure whilst also flexing your creative muscles
  • You are scrappy - thrive finding creative solutions and solving problems with a start up mindset
