Warehouse Shift Coach
Do you have a passion for training and coaching others particularly within a Warehouse/Fulfilment environment?
Our Learning team is recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Coach to deliver outstanding on-the-job training and coaching specifically including using moving heavy equipment (MHE) e.g. Counterbalance Truck, Powered Pallet Truck (ride on and stand behind), Electric Pallet/Stacker Truck to colleagues predominantly in our Warehouse and occasionally in our Fulfilment Centre.
You'll report directly to the Learning Advisor and be responsible for delivering MHE training and validation for new joiners, upskilling and recertification of existing colleagues in our Warehouse and fulfilment centre. This includes training out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), One Point Lessons, expected behaviours and inductions where required.
In this role you will:
- Be motivated by supporting new and existing colleagues on the skills needed to do their role, championing safe, efficient and professional behaviours
- Work in partnership with the departments maintaining high levels of safety and compliance
- Manage training records, retain all colleagues MHE licenses and re-assessments
- Ensure facility inspections both pre and post shift are completed
- Conduct audits on licences, Warehouse racking and equipment
- Report and investigate any MHE/Environment damage
- Be the first point of contact for anything MHE related
- Be approachable and set a great example for every team in relation to behaviours and attitude
If your application is successful you will undertake a Shift Coach training programme.
Person
An ideal Warehouse Shift Coach will:
- Have experience in training people on MHE
- Be RTITB accredited or hold a IPAF operating license
- Have manual handling instructor experience
- Be able to complete COSHH risk assessments
- Have good working knowledge of Gousto's operations
- Be confident coaching all colleagues on a wide variety of skills
- Be flexible to change
- Have a consistent positive mindset
