Job Description

Experienced BA required to work in a Managed Services SOC. The Adarma SOC provides a variety of SOC services such as Managed Detection and Response, Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Detection and Response, SIEM Support, and Vulnerability Management. These services are provided to a range of clients covering a wide variety of industries.

Due to our ever-increasing expansion and our desire to remain a process driven service provider, Adarma is seeking a confident self-starter that can collaborate across multiple teams and drive forward a programme of process review and improvement. You will use your experience of process analysis to monitor key SOC processes and identify potential performance or quality gains, ensuring that agreed improvements are pushed through to completion.

Business Analyst (Process and Reporting Lead)

Responsible for the design, review, and improvement of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) processes and procedures. Also responsible for the design and review of SOC internal and client facing reports.

Reports to the SOC Manager.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with SOC colleagues via group workshops and one to one interviews to understand and capture the requirements of SOC services and SOC clients
  • Produce data models and process documentation to analyse, investigate and improve the performance of SOC operations
  • Perform Lean (or similar) analysis, to identify and recommend improvements in efficiency as well as identify and track suitable process KPIs. (KPIs that help improve and track the performance of SOC operational processes)
  • Report and present your recommendations for approval to the SOC manager, clearly highlighting all applicable opportunities and risks
  • Identify the actions required to implement the recommendations made
  • Ensure plans are made and supporting processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on the evaluation.
  • Support SOC leads and teams in making your recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues as they arise
  • Gather the information required to deliver concise SOC performance reports and presentations, incorporating where appropriate, visual tools to deliver analytical assessments to a targeted audience (such as SOC Clients and SOC management)
  • Assist in the training of new and experienced analyst through the delivery of workshops and familiarisation sessions regarding SOC processes
  • Review monthly MI reports (external and Internal)
  • Assist the SOC manager in other BA or reporting related tasks as required


Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree or postgraduate degree in Business Information Systems Business Management or Computer and Systems Development
  • Understanding of business analysis, identifying and understanding business problems, root cause analysis, mind mapping methodologies, process design and descriptions
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent and prompt documenting skills
  • Equally comfortable hosting group workshops or holding ‘one to one’ interviews (in person or by virtual means)
  • Producing high quality Management Information (MI) reports

Experience:

Essential

  • Experience in process design and development in the IT industry
  • Experience in producing reports for management and/or C level executives

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in the Cyber Security or Information Security industry
  • Exposure to AWS, Splunk or Jira
  • Understanding of Six Sigma, Lean or similar methodologies
