Job Description

The Financial Systems Manager role is to lead Belmond Workday and Adaptive Planning Global Projects, including future implementations, system enhancements and provide ongoing support to end users.


  • Ongoing Workday and Adaptive Planning Support
    • Be the primary point of contact for Workday and Adaptive Planning support queries
    • Monitor the Workday Support Inbox and triage all calls
    • Provide remote support to the finance user base on Workday and Adaptive Planning related questions in a post go-live environment
    • Resolve Workday and Adaptive Planning support calls raised by the FCs and end users
    • Escalate complex issues to the Kainos AMS services or Global Internal Controls and Financial System Manager for resolution
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve the Workday and Adaptive Planning design processes as they become available and are deemed appropriate
    • Issue communications and updates
    • Support the development of the Workday section on the Finance Policy website
    • Liaise with Kainos and Workday to drive resolution to common problems in a timely manner
  • Enhancements
    • Be familiar with the functionality of future Workday releases and propose the suitable change and/or enhancements to the businesses
    • Lead the roll-out of Workday enhancements that were not implemented at the initial roll-out. These will include but are not limited to: Expenses, Projects, Planning, Budgeting, Reconciliation and other.
  • Go-Lives ( Current businesses not yet using Workday and future acquisitions)
    • Coordinate the set-up of project meetings including User Acceptance Testing, Training, and Go-Live events
    • Reviewing issue logs including the central database and ensuring tasks have been allocated and followed up. Assist with general administrative tasks
    • Lead preparations for a controlled start up for each go-live phase
    • Provide onsite and remote support to the local finance teams in the implementation of the processes during go-live phases and any business as usual roll outs.
    • Advise on the local adoption of Belmond Workday business and where existing processes will need to be changed or modified
    • Support RFCs and FCs in the completion of data migration
    • Maintain and Prepare training material
    • Complete training schedules
    • Deliver training as required to support both ongoing project implementation and business as usual requirements.
  • General
    • Develop expertise in the Belmond specific Workday and Adaptive Planning enabled processes.


  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a Finance related subject
  • Extensive experience with Financial Systems, Workday experience preferred
  • Experience of implementation of Financial Systems
  • Experience of leading projects related to Financial Systems and the continual roll-out of system enhancements
