The Team
The Workshop team supports content production to ensure correct bicycles are purchased and used for the correct locations, they are often involved in shoots to ensure the Swytch Kit and bikes are in full working order, and they support reviewers and influencers in their use of the Swytch Kit. In addition the Workshop team will assist the Customer Service team in trouble shooting problems and in some cases will communicate directly with customers who need advanced technical support. They are also responsible for our customer warranty's and returns.
The team's role in the company is very important as we depend on well prepared bicycles and repaired parts to ensure a customer’s experience is positive.
The Role
The Distribution and Returns Assistant role will report to our Head of Workshops and Warranty. You will be energetic, physically fit (to handle moving boxes of up to 10kg), customer friendly and hard working. Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Overseeing returns into and out of Swytch HQ.
- Keeping the returns workshop and warehouse organised and tidy.
- Communicating via email or verbally with our external contractors and partners e.g. distribution warehouses, courier services.
- Creating, maintaining and entering information into our database (Zendesk).
- Quality inspection of returned goods, working along side the repair technician to ensure goods are repaired, and returning stock to correct locations.
- Greeting visitors or clients as needed.
- Helping organise and maintain office common areas which may include building furniture and general DIY tasks.
- Maintaining supply of office equipment and branded clothing inventory.
- Packing, receiving and shipping goods from the office for all departments .
- At times you may be required to assist in other areas to support the wider business, outside of your core role.
Requirements
You will be:
- Proactive and enthusiastic about your work, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised with previous experience in prioritising a busy workload.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and forever changing work environment.
- Keen to please both your internal team and Swytch customers.
- Familiarity with our CRM system, Zendesk, and an interest in bikes/technical ability would be a bonus.
