We're seeking a personable, enthusiastic and organised People amp; Culture Officer to join our innovative and talented team. This is a great opportunity to join the agency as we accelerate our growth, and to be deeply involved in the shaping and implementing of our HR and culture initiatives.

Your main responsibilities will be to help enhance our ability to attract, motivate and retain great people, specifically:

- Recruiting great people, with very varied backgrounds and specialist expertise

- Retaining our existing people

- Developing a growth mindset, through learning and development initiatives

- Supporting the development of an exciting and creative culture


YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, flexible and friendly individual to join our team. The role will report to the Commercial amp; Financial Director and will have significant interaction with other colleagues (including client services, designers, education specialists, digital marketing, researchers, strategy, finance and more).


Responsibilities

People amp; Culture engagement initiatives

  • Continuous development of people and culture initiatives with the support of the Commercial amp; Financial Director, including internal communications, people reviews, employee engagement surveys.
  • Build a culture supportive of health and wellbeing, providing advice and support to teams on resilience.
  • Provide advice to employees on contracts, benefits, employment law, company policies and processes.
  • Build and maintain HR information on our systems, including annual leave updates, personal information and recruitment documentation.
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to raise Purchase Orders, complete expense reports and payroll actions.
  • Review and develop HR policy and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of employment law and share with the wider team where applicable.
  • Work with external employment law advisors where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation, working closely with the Head of Comms and the Commercial amp; Financial Director.


Recruitment

  • Maintain a strong talent acquisition process, including: actively sourcing, recruitment of applicants via our ATS Workable, interview and selection, reference checks, set up and onboarding.
  • Ensure our talent acquisition processes have our Fairness, Diversity amp; Inclusion mission front of mind.
  • Continually build and grow our talent pool for both live and up-coming roles.
  • Support the Resourcing amp; Traffic Manager to source ad hoc freelance resource according to brief.
  • Benchmark salaries against industry standard.
  • Learning amp; Development
  • Work with the Commercial amp; Financial Director to build Learning amp; Development plans.
  • Managing and being creative with our Learning amp; Development budget, researching and advising on external training.
  • Support managers with Personal Development Reviews and objectives to develop our people.


Diversity amp; Inclusion

  • Champion Damp;I initiatives at We are Futures, partnering with our working group to ensure that we are being as inclusive as possible.


Office Management

  • Ensure the overall smooth running of the office and working from home processes, liaising with external IT support and serviced office management.
  • Manage the agency phone system.
  • Support our people in booking meeting rooms and video conferencing.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are in place

Requirements

  • Proven success working in HR.
  • Passionate about developing people potential and culture.
  • Creative in approach to people and culture initiatives and ability to work in a fluid environment.
  • Experience in recruiting people directly and through partnering with agencies.
  • Good understanding and experience of HR policy.
  • Experience and interest in Fairness, Diversity amp; Inclusion.
  • Confidence to engage with people at all levels in the agency.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Experience within a creative agency / marketing environment preferred.
