Working within our Newsroom Engineering Team, you will be responsible for building resilient, scalable software services that support all aspects of the Telegraph Newsroom from Journalists and Editors to Digital Publishing and Video Production.
With over 400 Journalists, the Authoring Tool, Content Management System (AEM) and Platform Services are a critical capability for delivering the breaking news agenda to a global audience. We adopt a cloud first, fully automated approach when solving Business problems, always finding the right technology fit and embracing continuous improvement.
We actively encourage innovative thinking and an adaptable mindset to work on a broad variety of projects to enhance the quality of the Digital Content Management experience in our bustling Newsroom. From traditional RESTful APIs to Event Driven and Evolutionary Architectures, we have the people and tools to make a real difference.
As a Software Engineer specialising in back end technologies, you will work with the Architects, Front End Engineers and your peers, discussing and refining requirements, building, testing, and deploying software in Production. You will have opportunities to work directly with stakeholders and other development teams to learn what it takes to work in a leading Digital Media company.
