Requirements


  • Line Manage, mentor and coach the SDET team
  • Champion of test automation
  • Guardian of production readiness
  • Own to the overall test automation strategy
  • Build robust automated testing plans that accurately estimate efforts
  • Coordinate feature teams test automation and update automated regression tests
  • Automate QA metric reporting, such as test execution, coverage, defect densities and open defect counts
  • Embed tooling within the SDLC to analyse and predict the quality of our products
  • Be a top-class critical thinker, automating at every turn to keep regression at bay
  • Lead defect triage during software delivery


Skill and Experience

  • Good experience in Java (Scala or Python would be a bonus)
  • 5+ years of working experience in a software quality assurance position
  • Detailed knowledge of both manual and automated testing best practice techniques, tools and processes including
    • cucumber, selenium, webdriver, appium, gatling, postman
    • continuous integration , git, jira, confluence
    • spring, junit, mock libraries
    • linux, bash
  • Expert at organisational and time-management skills
  • Be able to handle demands, targets, guidelines, and high stress situations
  • Excellent communicator with a strong command of the English language
  • You have designed and implemented systems using OOP, Agile, TDD and BDD
  • You are a proactive problem solver who can prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience in the following testing;
    • highly transactional platforms
    • functional, API, acceptance, contract testing
    • cloud infrastructure
    • security, data integrity, performance, resilience
  • An inherent need for tea and biscuits
