Job Description
Proximie is transforming the healthcare market as the only global provider capable of connecting surgeons in real-time, with Augmented Reality (AR), data capture, and predictive analytics. The company was founded in 2016 and currently operates out of three hubs (US, UK, and the Middle East) to serve customers across the world.
We are looking for a passionate Android engineer who is experienced with the full Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC), change management, and modern tools and pipelines.

Responsibilities- Create, migrate, and maintain new features/systems following ATDD and BDD methodology
- Show creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
- Reinforce development best practices for quality assurance, security, and deployment
- Instil and drive a delivery-focused culture while promoting a fun hardworking workplace
- Contribute to research and the design of new systems
Requirements
Required skills- BSc Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar
- 6+ years experience in developing and deploying Android applications
- 2+ years experience as an Senior Software Engineer
- Strong understanding of data structures, application lifecycles, and functional programming
- Strong experience in Android Studio, Java, and Kotlin
- Strong experience in several testing frameworks such as BrowserStack / Appium
- Strong experience in Git, Git Flow, and other code management tools
- Experience integrating REST API’s and Socket based systems
- Experience in Continuous integration tools such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, etc
- Experience in backlog management, code reviews, pull-requests, paired programming
- Near fluent English speaking, reading, and writing ability
- Experience with component-driven development
- Experience with WebRTC, streaming video, audio and video codecs
- Experience in augmented reality
- Experience with Smart glasses, AR, VR and Mixed Reality platforms
- Experience with C# and Unity3D
- Experience with OpenGL, Vulkan, and Metal
- Experience in C++, and integrating NDK’s
- Experience working within regulatory compliance framework e.g. HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC-2
