UI Engineer

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for experienced, highly motivated UI Engineers to develop user interfaces for Ripjar’s products.

You will have a strong software development background and excellent UI development skills. You will be proficient in Javascript and at least one Javascript web development framework, preferably React. You will have a good appreciation of UI design and implementation best practice, and be comfortable working with RESTFUL services and complex data. You will have a good appreciation of software design principles and the software development lifecycle, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment using agile development methods.

As a UI Engineer you will:

• Implement UI components and user interfaces based on designs and guidelines provided by our UX/UI designers.
• Work with other developers in the engineering teams to integrate the user interface with back-end services and data.
• Work with other UI developers to implement and maintain common UI component frameworks.
• Work with the Delivery team to provide second line and deep support to Ripjar’s customers.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing, developing and testing sophisticated brower-based UI components and user-interfaces.
• Proficiency in Javascript and at least one Javascript UI framework, preferably React.
• Experience working with RESTFUL services and APIs, and complex data.
• A good appreciation of software design principles and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Technical Skills/Experience

• Experience with any of Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Node.js and Redis.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and/or UI frameworks.
• Experience in UX and/or user interface design.Experience developing and maintaining user interface component libraries and frameworks.
