Supply Chain Analyst, Global Supply Chain

Location: London,UK / Boston, Massachusetts

Reporting to: Associate Director, Global Supply Chain and Business Operations


Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate to join a rapidly growing international company focused on transforming the lives of patients with rare disorders through innovative gene therapies. The company is developing ex-vivo autologous hematopoietic stem cell gene therapy to restore normal gene function in primary immune deficiencies, metabolic diseases, and hematological disorders.

Orchard has a deep pipeline of clinical-stage transformative gene therapies, one approved product and multiple preclinical programs entering the clinic beginning in 2019. Data from the clinical studies show profound efficacy and multi-year durability across 5 different clinical indications with gt;150 patients treated. The company is anticipating regulatory submissions for 3 products over the next 3 years. The company has built capabilities and established partners to manufacture and deliver near-term products globally, with commercial opportunities in excess of $1 billion annually across the lead clinical indications. In addition, Orchard plans to build internal manufacturing capabilities for world-wide patient supply.

We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and service oriented individual to join our growing Global Supply and Business Operations team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Global Supply Chain and Business Operations, the Supply Chain Analyst will primarily be responsible for the Inventory Management activities across a network of multiple suppliers and 3rd party manufacturers. The incumbent will use data analysis to define new reporting capabilities as well as being a direct contributor in gathering business requirements, define Master Data properties and parameters in preparation for the selection and deployment of Inventory Management technology. The candidate will also contribute and build experience in areas such as manufacturing scheduling, demand planning as part of the wider Samp;OP Process. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in inventory management, data analysis and good working knowledge of supply and demand planning in a cross-functional, regional, or global business landscape.

Requirements

Key Elements and Responsibilities

  • Good knowledge of Supply Chain processes including demand, supply amp; inventory management.
  • Raw Materials forecasting, order requirements and order management.
  • Work cross-functionally with CMC, QA and Manufacturing to ensure all associated technical inputs are included and captured for inventory planning and storage
  • Ongoing management of 3rd party cold storage supplier.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory policies are in place for appropriate items; calculate and maintain safety stock levels; create and review Bill of Materials (BOM’s)
  • Excess amp; Obsolescence inventory reporting and analysis to avoid stock write-off
  • Standardize the Inventory data collection process across a growing network of suppliers and 3rd parties driving accuracy and financial reconciliation.
  • Master Data ownership: define and maintain master data standards and associated change control.
  • Accurate and timely reporting to identify and quantify potential risks to service, supply and cost, being able to effectively communicate this to relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Inventory Control practices and support readiness for future technology implementations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required knowledge

  • Prior experience in Inventory Management, Data Analysis, Master Data, Reporting
  • Experience or exposure to an Samp;OP process within Supply Chain.
  • Prior experience in a similar supply chain role. Life sciences or biotech preferred.

Skills amp; Abilities

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills required; Smartsheet experience useful.
  • Data Analysis - ability to prepare, pivot and extract meaningful insights.
  • Experience with ERP and/or dedicated supply chain cloud technology planning tools
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to multi-task and comfortable with working in a global matrix environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Science, Economics, or related field
  • Life Science, Medical Device or Biotech experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, ideally with a focus on Inventory
