We are a growing business on a mission to make motoring more flexible for people needing a car they can call their own.

As a key member of our team, you will need to be extremely organised and able to work on your own initiative to consistently deliver a great customer experience and excellence within the role.

We are seeking applications from candidates with proven customer experience within payments control, collections and administration. This role is based from home with the requirement for occasional travel to our offices in central London (Kings Cross).

Requirements

What does a Sales Ledger Clerk do?

  • Be the main point of contact for all customer related billing and payment enquiries or queries.
  • Support in the billing of all customers on a monthly basis within deadline by creating and sending one time and reoccurring invoices for new customers joining Pivotal in a timely and effective manner.
  • Raise invoices, organise credit notes and communicate to the customer all extra charges or refunds added to their account in order to deliver excellent customer service to inbound enquires, as well as customers wishing to pause their subscription
  • Daily allocation of receivables to the sales ledger
  • Monitoring the payments and ensure all invoices raised are paid, following the payments policy and process step by step. Proactively chase debt / outstanding payments chase, in line with KPI’s and business contractual conditions with the aim of achieving settlement within payment terms
  • Review and constantly improve the payments process and policies
  • Identifying risk via effective credit checking of current customers, communicating appropriately to team members and take necessary action in line with department standards
  • Ensure that all administrative tasks are complete on time and as per the department standards.
  • Forecast, record and report on own and team cash collection on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Take ownership for self-development by recognising training gaps, receiving and delivering training to and from colleagues to create consistency and minimal variance in performance.
  • Work effectively as a team player ensuring you are available to provide cover during team member absence and key dates.
  • Support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives to optimise the revenue collection performance, including the requirements for the automation of processes.
  • Display appropriate agility and behaviour to support wider team targets and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Building effective relationships with customers and throughout Pivotal by attending regular meetings and through excellent communication streams e.g. Slack, Salesforce to enhance continuous improvement in the business.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to customer and colleagues alike, ensuring all tasks are performed in line with company, department and team vision.

Skills amp; Experience

  • Minimum of 1 Year Sales Ledger and billing processes experience.
  • Experience in customer services/relations.
  • Experience of working in credit control.
  • Proven working knowledge of Google sheets / excel, docs / word and CRM (Pivotal uses Salesforce)
