Job Description

Festicket was formed in 2012 with the aim of offering the best service to festival goers around the globe. Event Genius was founded in 2008 to offer a complete event solution. In 2019 the two companies merged and we have been busy since then merging the technology and development teams to provide a single unified application. Now it is time for us to do the same for Infrastructure and DevOps.

THE ROLE

In this role you will play a key part in the transformation of our Infrastructure. We know where we want to end up and you will be a big part of getting us there.

We strive for high levels of automation, building everything infrastructure as code and using CI/CD to enable seamless, frequent, safe releases into our production environment. We have a variety of applications built with different technologies and we are looking for someone who can bring them all up to the consistently high standards of automation, deployability, robustness and scalability that we desire.

You will be working very closely with our current Infrastructure engineer to apply the best of what we currently have across all our systems and develop new solutions to fill the gaps.

We really want to make sure we include the developers on our Infrastructure journey and you will be regularly involving them in planning to make sure we stay aligned with their goals. Product teams regularly have new requirements and you will be expected to work with them to ensure they get a solution that is right for them. You will also run training session for the rest of the team on tooling and offer support to those interested in getting involved with Infrastructure development.

You will be responsible for ensuring that we are continually improving the security and stability of our platforms and ensure we are offering the best possible development experience to the rest of the technical team.

Work culture

Product teams are organised into agile, product focussed, cross-functional teams that are empowered to define their own work and decide how to organise themselves.

We work incrementally but do occasionally take on bigger projects to update our stack and product. We like to build fast, scalable, easily maintained and dynamic applications using the latest and greatest tools and technologies available. Most of all, we like to deliver! Continuously if possible

The platform offers an end-to-end experience for music travellers, an efficient two-sided marketplace for 1,500+ music festivals across 40 different countries, and a network of 5,000 suppliers for accommodation amp; travel packages. In eight short years, we have become Europe's largest music festival platform.

Since our acquisition in 2019 of the multi-award winning cashless POS platform Event Genius and the associated Ticket Arena consumer website and brand, we are on track to become the most complete end-to-end live events platform for fans and organisers built to serve any event, any size.
