QA Engineer

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for experienced, highly motivated QA Engineers to help ensure the quality of the software products produced by our growing Engineering team. You will have a proven track record in Quality Assurance, and will have a strong technical background in software development. You will be familiar with the software development process and common agile development methods and processes, and be able to support development teams in continuously improving ways of working in order to drive down costs while ensuring quality. You will have excellent attention to detail and be able to produce and execute test specifications against complex software requirements. You will be comfortable developing and maintaining automated test suites and the test automation frameworks used within Engineering.

As a QA Engineer you will: -

• Ensure the quality of Ripjar’s software products.
• Provide QA support to engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Produce and execute test specifications against complex software requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites and frameworks.
• Proactively identify problems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Ripjar's quality processes.

Requirements

• Significant experience in software testing and software quality assurance.
• Strong software development background.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Technical Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of elements of Ripjar's core technology stack (Node.js, Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis, Spark)
• Experience working with complex data processing and analytic systems and software.
• Experience working with distributed and horizontally scaled systems.
