Corin is seeking an Inspector to ensure effective and efficient measurement, inspection and assessment of product conformity. Corin is a medical device business with innovative robotically assisted platforms for joint replacement surgery. Corin offers a unique combination of clinically proven hip amp; knee solutions and world leading technologies, our OMNIBotics amp; OPS systems utilize intelligent instrumentation to give surgeons the ability to perform patient-specific procedures with high accuracy, with more consistent results and improved recovery rates.
The key responsibilities of the Inspector are to:
- Verify conformity of Products and Instrumentation to ensure specification has been achieved.
- Clean and package all products prior to sterilization whilst ensuring all quality standards are adhered to. You will be working in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
- Identify and report on instances of non-conformance, in line with documented procedures.
- Inspect Corin Products in line with prescribed criteria, to include both measurement and visual appraisal.
- Ensure timely notification of apparent adverse trends regarding non-conformance, to ensure that appropriate actions can be initiated.
- Run programs and measure features using specialist equipment e.g. Co-Ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Surface Finish equipment etc.
- Kit and assemble of sub-components at Final Inspection
- Clean amp; pack products in a cleanroom environment.
- Adhere to all Corin Cleanroom amp; Packing procedures and completing all relevant documentation to the required standard.
- Comply with Corin’s health and safety procedures.
- Support other areas of the business as and when required.
- Support validation work within the Cleanroom.
- Be involved in Corin Continuous Improvement.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping.
- Work in the cleanroom area as and when required
- Ensure work is selected on a priority basis and that inspection/measurement/cleanroom activities amp; packing are carried out in a focussed manner.
- Ensure accurate completion of all associated documentation as required by the role.
- Conduct Buddy Training as required.
- Undertake other related duties as required
- Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin’s ISO13485 QMS amp; Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820.
- Ensure that process and timeline requirements for Corrective amp; Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with Corin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in support of Corin’s Global Objectives for CAPA.
Requirements
The ideal Inspector will have / be:
- Previous inspection experience in either a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or highly regulated environment
- Competent in the use of hand-held measurement amp; inspection equipment and will be able to develop skills with regards to general inspection, measurement and associated activities.
- Right first time inspection approach.
- Possess the ability to work independently
- Capable of interpreting engineering drawings.
- Possess the ability to make informed decisions based on specifications and/or reference standards.
