Position: Financial Crime Analyst

Reports to: Head of Financial Crime
Location: remote working
Hours: 40 hours per week
Ziglu provides instant and effortless access to cryptocurrencies with payment services including a debit card and peer-to-peer payments. The Financial Crime Team is a crucial part of Ziglu and are dedicated to mitigating the risk of Financial Crime.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Financial Crime Analyst, who will work closely with the Head of Financial Crime and their team working in key areas including onboarding, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting.
This will be a key role and as such we are looking for individuals who are passionate about Financial Crime Risk, dedicated in helping create a world class team, and keen to work in a fast paced and rapid growth fintech start up.
Requirements
What will you be doing?
- You will split your time handling financial crime tasks such as carrying out investigations of transaction monitoring alerts and instances of suspicious account activity.
- You will write suspicious activity reports (SAR) for the MLRO.
- You will be addressing alerts generated during customer onboarding.
- The majority of your time will be spent on these financial crime tasks, while gaining an in-depth understanding of our customer base and the other problems they face.
- You have a curious nature and keep up to date knowledge of relevant regulations and have a solid understanding of the regulatory horizon.
- You have a can do attitude and love working in a fast moving collaborative environment.
- Work with colleagues to refine, develop and implement internal Financial Crime processes and procedures.
- Produce daily MI on productivity and FC trends
- Train junior members of the team on FC and systems as required
Who are you?
- You are an experienced Financial Crime specialist having worked in regulated financial services firms (ideally including Payments and Cards), where you have covered customer onboarding, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity investigation and reporting.
- You have experience and understanding of automated Customer Onboarding and Transaction Monitoring .
- You take ownership and accountability of your own challenges and workload
- You are positive, curious and proactive.
- An interest in understanding Financial Crime Risk trends, with the ability to translate trends into effective controls and monitoring to mitigate risks to our customers and Ziglu.
- You will have experience in application fraud, card fraud (interception, counterfeit, lost or stolen and car not present) and account take over
Your Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level (preferable)
- Industry Qualifications (e.g. ICA and CAMS) (preferable)
