We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a firm of Chartered Accountants and Financial Advisors with offices in Bath, Midsomer Norton and Warminster. They offer accountancy, taxation, business advisory and financial services advice to family and owner managed businesses and individuals.
Under the supervision of our senior tax managers, the tax assistant will work with a range of clients from senior officials in public bodies to property landlords.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and administrating tax returns
- Supporting the Senior Tax accountant with preparing tax returns
- Preparing VAT returns, monthly tax and other journal entries
- Tax corrections
- Administrative duties, checking tax codes and making sure EIS information is up to date and relevant.
- Adhoc tasks when necessary
Requirements
- Finance Related degree
- Practical experience working with tax
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in practice
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Part-qualified AAT
- Own transport to travel to any of the three offices when required
