Your new role
Our client, HSKSG is looking for a Taxation professional to work in their Derby office on Pride Park.
HSKS Greenhalgh are a Midlands based independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors who specialise in working with high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and growing owner-managed businesses.
What you’ll do
Working as part of the Taxation Services team you will be responsible for providing a tax compliance service to a portfolio of clients, including high net worth individuals, sole traders, Directors, amp; partnerships.
The role will involve dealing with personal and partnership tax returns. You will be ensuring that self-assessment tax returns are completed and submitted in a timely and accurate manner and advising tax liabilities. You will also have exposure to a small number of trust tax returns.
This is a client focused role so you must enjoy developing and building relationships with your clients amp; colleagues and have the confidence to respond to clients, third parties and HRMC on other compliance-related matters.
Requirements
What you’ll need to succeed
Preferably you should have a background in personal tax and have experience of working in an accountancy practice environment. Preparing tax returns in a compliance focused role to an accurate standard is desirable.
You may be ATT qualified or equivalent, studying towards ATT or be qualified through experienced and be looking to meet a key position in a tax department. You must have excellent communication skills, have a professional, organised and flexible approach as well as the ability to work using both your own initiative and as part of a team. You must be competent in Microsoft office amp; tax return preparation software packages and, ideally, be able to drive
