We are currently working with an innovative, family run SME who are actively seeking an experienced Service Manager to join their existing team in Doncaster. As a Service Manager you will be responsible for running the depot providing good leadership in the workshop on a day to day basis, ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of this department, making sure the quality of work is always to an exceptional standard, and ensuring the team is motivated and passionate about their work.
Key duties and responsibilities.
- Responsible for the overall operations of the depot including all health amp; safety rules and regulations, ensuring all equipment is up to standard and the relevant inspections are kept up to date,
- Responsible for the day to day running of the depot and the service engineers; ensuring that engineers have jobs to do and are able to carry them out effectively, to an exceptional standard, and within the expected time frames.
- Responsible for the opening up and closing of the mobile depot each day and the security of the depot.
- Responsible to ensure demonstration machines are kept clean and up-together and ready for the reps to use
- Responsible to report back on used machines arriving at the depot and take relevant course of action with each machine
- Responsible to raise paperwork for loan machines as required, ensuring it is completed correctly and a paperwork trial kept.
- Responsible to raise invoices for chargeable jobs completed at the depot, take payments and ensure the relevant paperwork trail is kept and send to head office.
- Responsible for the site facilities including getting the waste bins collected, site cleanliness, supply of timber for chipping and chip bin
- You are the point of contact in the workshops for the engineers, available to help with technical, and other workshop questions as they arise.
- Responsible for conditions in the workshop, including making sure we have all the correct tools in place in the workshop bays and service vans. You will be responsible to coordinate tooling and consumable requirements in the workshop, making sure stock levels are maintained and purchase orders raised and checked. You will also sign off invoices for payment once received.
- Manage the depot spare parts stock in conjunction with the parts department
