Senior Commercial Manager Procurement / Category Strategy / Government

Remote working / London based

650-725 per day / Inside IR35

I am currently seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join a government client for an initially until 30/09/2021.

You will be responsible for managing the Commercial Stakeholder Relationship Management to partner with the Category Strategy Lead on special projects.

  • You will support the Operations and wider Commercial Samp;ME and Commercial Category teams in delivering;
  • Facilitating the capturing of DAs Use Cases and aligning to Tamp;T Corporate and Category / Sourcing strategies and pipeline data.
  • Managing the end to end process including the identification of Commercial SME owners.
  • Ensuring Commercial representation and take the lead where required for the defined DA attended Boards and meetings. Ensure reporting is consolidated and consistent.
  • Ensuring the Engagement Charter reflects the changing needs and strategic direction of the DAs. Deliver against the planned task objectives and maintenance of stakeholders.

An additional part of the role will be flexible and would require working with Category Teams to mature their category strategies based on input but also more widely to review and improve in areas of supplier market knowledge, demand management, supply chain risk assessments, routes to market etc.

You must be comfortable working in a fast paced and quickly changing environment, where a strong set of all round commercial and senior stakeholder communication skills are paramount. Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role, as is category strategy and public sector procurement.

You will have:

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management;
  • Experience in interpreting policies, Use Cases, and creating plans and category strategies to deliver against these;
  • Experience of strategic thinking and application in public sector procurement.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Healthcare/Medi Science Category experience
  • Government experience
